With the performance that included a large amount of blood and even greater amount of courage, the guys from "Jackass" became world wide popular. But it appears that India has their own "Jackass" candidates. Their dangerous stunts include running over with a car, hanging, eating glass and "playing" with swords - Daily Mail writes.
They've gathered under the name Bir Khalsa (Brave and Clean) and claim that their stunts are actually part of a forgotten martial art. The group practices Gatka, martial art of the Sikhs which was passed from generation to generation and can only be performed by Sikhs. Their members are 10 to 34 years old and with their dangerous stunts managed to get country-wide attention.
The founder of the group Kamaljeet Singh Khalsa, claims that their stunts are so dangerous because they want to draw attention on the Gatka and make it popular again.
Khalsa points out that his parents were against this "Gatka revival", because bleeding and broken bones are something very often with this martial art, but he says that now his parents are proud of him.
"We are famous and we are successful in what we are doing. My parents come to our events and they support me." - Khalsa says.
The group broke a record in Italy recently. They've managed to make a record for most broken coconuts on someone's forehead with a baseball bat! They've managed to brake 59 coconuts, while the old record was 41.
Their popularity and support from the audience drove them to the semi finals of the Indian super talent.
