Merchants trying to profit from the "Buranovskiye Babushki" brand!

Buranovskiye Babushki, second placed on the Eurovision 2012 competition, have become so popular in Russia  that many merchants are using their name to label their products for higher profit.

The managers of this unusual granny quintet from the village of Buranovo are warning all merhcnats that they will sue anyone using the name without permission. Only few days after Eurosong 2012 in Azerbaijan finished, manufacturers of sardines, sausages, meat and shop owners filled dozens of requests to register their products under the name "Buranovskiye Babushki", "From Buranovo", "Buranovskiye" etc.

Request for renaming in "Buranovskiye Babushki" was filled by a huge Moscow-based store chain "Neo Produkt". The manager of the Eurovision 2012 second placed, said that they haven't signed any deal which will allow others to use their group name.

"Buranovskiye Babushki" are very popular in Russia and even the president Vladimir Putin congratulate them on their performance and their success. They are now back in Buranovo living their usual life.
