Google Chrome more popular than Internet Explorer

It`s true.

Google is a phenomenon in the world of internet technology. They didn`t get so far by luck. It`s a combination of hard work and experts in certain fields, with this combination it seems the results come very quick.

Look at their relatively new product (new compared to other established internet browsers like Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox etc.) Google Chrome. In just a couple of years it managed to rank number two among dozens of other internet browsers right behind Internet Explorer. For example last Saturday (March 18 2012) according to StatCounter, was a historic day for Google Inc. because for the first time Google Chrome was more popular/used than the well known Internet Explorer. On that day 32.7% of the world`s users of internet browsers were using Google Chrome and 32.5% were using Internet Explorer.

On Monday the numbers declined to 30% of world`s users, while the old and slow Internet Explorer was back on track with 35%. Usually users over the weekend use their browsers from their homes, so we can assume that companies still prefer Internet Explorer. This year`s statistic about browser popularity goes like this - Internet Explorer 36,19%, Google Chrome 29,53%, Firefox 24.89%, Safari 6.7% and surprisingly low Opera with a share of just 1.94%.

The last graphic is a statistic about the past four years. We can see that the biggest loser is Microsoft`s Internet Explorer. Although they made some improvement with their latest version it seems that the old popularity will never come back.

I will stick to my Google Chrome version 17!
